Holy shit, do you think it's really him? If it is then let me be the first to extend a laurel and hearty handshake to our new sherriff.

If it's not then I hate God for peeing on my dreams.

Yes CptPlanet, you may UN-dash your dreams, it is in fact me. I logged in here to clarify a little situation about a make-up artist friend of mine (see the thread asking for pictures by Monsterfx5).

Oh, also i'm procrastinating because I have workk to do.

Then I saw this thread and figured I had better say hello to you - I just can't stand dashed dreams!

So, top of the evenin' to ya.

well then thats just awesome

If you choose to read this again Eban, I want to congradualte you on all your hard work. The music of Mr. Show really made it what it was half the time. Had it not had such good music all the time then I don't think it would have been the same, that show was really about the total package, no detail was to simple to be overlooked.

Also do you ever plan on releasing a cd of all the songs you made for the show? If their are copyright issues with HBO do you want to illegally dispense said cd amongst the hordes of Mr. Show fanboys?

Holy crap you're fucking awesome. Thanks for being Eban Schletter, Eban Schletter.

Terris,

Thanks for your kind words. It's much appreciated. I am really fortunate to have gotten that job - Bob and David have a very deep (and smart) appreciation of the role music plays in a show. The fact that I was invited to participate in the commentaries on the DVD is further evidence of this.

One big regret I have about Mr. Show is that, given the circumstances many song parodies ended up being just snippets - like a verse and maybe a chorus and that's it. Otherwise, there could have been a really fun soundtrack album.

In the meantime I definately plan on doing a feature or two on my netherota records website and including some mp3s. It's been taking eons because I've been very busy and I want to make sure I do things on the up and up.

But it's getting close, my web designer has worked out a whole new look for the site and is now just waiting for me to get the extra features together - hopefully sometime in october I'll be able to get him what he needs and the new stuff will go up.

In the meantime, I do have a promo cd that has music from Run Ronnie Run and (are you sitting down) Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd (now you're REALLY excited, right?) For more info you can check Toby Moody's post about it in the Mr. Show and Cast section of this board. Bottom line: send an email to info@netherotarecords.com with your address (it's free). If your name is different from your user name, remind me it's you (yes I do see all the emails).

I will log in here again when the new version of the site is up.

Thanks again for your compliments.

p.s. pardon my type-os if any, I'm not previewing this post.

You're welcome CptPlanet, and likewise to you. By the way, that's an open invitation about the Run Ronnie Run CD (again check Toby's post, you'll find a track listing etc.) so drop a line to the netherota site if you want one.

It is a limited edition cd, but there are still plenty left (many have been writing in wondering if it's too late - well, no, it aint too late.

It was my pleasure!

(I know you saw that answer coming - that's why I wasn't a writer on the show)

terris

it's true that I'm kissing ass, but I can't help it, as a musician and a mr show fan talking to Eban is like talking to someone who you think is really cool, and does stuff you really enjoy.

CptPlanet
09-30-2004, 01:52 AM
yeah i wish i could talk to people i admire without coming off like a fanboy but the only way to do that is to throw in a little insult every now and then to let them know that you're "above it".

but then i'm always worried about taking it too far, like "hey eban i really like your work man... just kidding i hope that your entire family is careening toward a mountain on a doomed 747!"

terris
09-30-2004, 01:58 AM
haha thats awesome, in the sense that i know what you are talking about

Eban, did you do the new CS Lewis jr. song on the bob and david page?

if so then keep up the good work, if not then someones fucking with your kool-aid

CptPlanet
09-30-2004, 02:19 AM
yeah eban if you had anything to do with that video at all, then you are truly a greater man than jesus himself!

E.Schletter
09-30-2004, 02:20 AM
I did recently do a CS Lewis Jr. song with Bob, I didn't know it was up on their site. I'll have to go check it out. The song we did was about America being Number 1, but then C.S. reveals he really hasn't been anywhere else.

Cpt - that was a very funny example - If it wasn't for the fact that me and my family are flying to New York tomorrow!!!

No, I'm totally kidding.

terris
09-30-2004, 02:23 AM
hey eban, can you make a theme song for this board?

hell you could just fart into a mic if you like, the bragging rights it would give this message board would be insane

and well in world of nerds thats important shit

CptPlanet
09-30-2004, 02:28 AM
there's no such thing as a free lunch terris.

but yeah eban can we please have our own free song?

terris
09-30-2004, 02:30 AM

E.Schletter
09-30-2004, 02:31 AM
Actually... you just reminded me of a little out-take from Run Ronnie Run. Hang on, I'm gonna see about uploading it.

terris
09-30-2004, 02:34 AM
man this guy never stops giving

eban are you secretly a mr show fanboy at heart?

or are we just stroking your ego?

do you even have an ego, you seem to humble for that

E.Schletter
09-30-2004, 02:45 AM
On spec! That's awesome!

Well, this didn't get used in the movie, and it's not entirely original as the melody is tradional, but perhaps this can be your theme:

Ronnie Farts The Alphabet:

(the official playback version with clicks that Dave butt-synced to:

http://www.netherotarecords.com/ronnie/RonnieFarts.AIF

Funny, I was just archiving this stuff (that's why I was able to find it so quickly)

terris
09-30-2004, 02:50 AM
Man I'm such a kid, but I can't help but laugh at farts. I love them.

Thats awesome, thanks Eban you rock.

but unfourtunatley we want to go with something a bit more post-modern than that, and since that was on spec, well you dont get paid.

E.Schletter
09-30-2004, 02:54 AM
Damn! I always lose to post-modern! Why don't I watch more MTV? Damn!

terris
09-30-2004, 02:56 AM
well, im sorry eban lets keep this professional, i dont want you blubbering around my office like this

man i gotta go to bed, over here on the east coast its way to late

would you be at all interested in hearing stuff ive recorded eban?

ie past bands, and noodling around on reason

E.Schletter
09-30-2004, 03:05 AM
Sure, Id be glad to give it a listen. If you can send a link to an mp3 or something to the info@netherotarecords.com, I'll check it out. (please don'e email a file though, it bogs things down, sending a link is better)

Or, you can send a "hard copy" snail mail to Netherota records, which has a new address which I don't have in front of me right now - but it will be on the envalope when you get your Run Ronnie run cd.

Anyway, you're right it's getting late and I really have to get back to work.

It's been a pleasure, gents, have a great night (er, morning).

That has GOT to go on the main page!

I wonder if that melody is actually OWNED by somebody, like "Happy Birthday". And I wonder what came first: "The Alphabet Song" or "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star".

I'm pretty sure someone else had a thread here a while back for that CD, but I don't have the energy to look it up right now.

I got the CD a while back with the autograph (thanks again)...

If you are a Mr. Sow fan it is a must.

IT has the 3x1-1 song in full which has never been available before!

If you play the CD while watching episode 407 of "Full House" it totally syncs up when Joey is trying to control his bitch with violence.

i too got the CD a while ago as well as a letter from you which i pinned on my wall (yeah, i know thats really nerdy). you also sent me Dr. Inferno Jr. and Mouser Mecha Catbot which were both great. have you ever thought about having some one make a totally kick ass cartoon music video to go along with MMC? the whole time i was listening to that i could see one being made.
thanks again.

EDIT: never mind. i see that the animated video has already happened.
