Comedy Central has ordered another 13 episodes of "Reno 911!" The series, a half-hour parody of reality-show pioneer "Cops", premiered in July with a solid audience of 2.1 million, making it one of Comedy Central's highest rated series.

Lauren Corrao, Comedy Central senior VP of original programming and development, said " 'Reno 911!' has been a resounding success for the network both critically and from a ratings standpoint. The characters created by Tom, Ben, Kerri and the cast are so funny and provocative that you can't wait to see what they do from one week to the next."

Has anyone seen 'Blotter'? It comes on TBS at weird times in the morning and is listed as 'Interstitial Programming'. It's not that funny but it was around before Reno 911 was. Here's their website that usually doesn't work. www.blottertv.com

It's a death sentence. We all know that at Comedy Central, when it comes to good programming: Third Season will be your last.

Can someone explain to me why Ben Garant now goes by, "Robert Ben Garant?" Thanks.

I was up at an unGodly hour of the morning and happened upon "Blotter" for the first time. I almost woke up my husband laughing so hard. It was the hokiest take-off on a cop show I had ever seen. And what was so good about it was that I will be spending a weekend in a tent with a cop from NC at a Civil War reenactment and I can tell him all about the show.

My GOD! Another person who's seen 'interstitial programming' and actually searched on it. I love you, ma'am. I truly do.

It's stuff they put on to fill the gaps in their programming schedule. The show is called Blotter. It's usually on when they need to kill 4-5 minutes between shows and they can't sell advertising time. I don't think they make it anymore but it predated Reno 911 and it's basically the same thing. I call it 'interstitial programming' because that's what the description of it is on the digital cable listings.

I don't care what the PR department at CC is spitting out as far as "rave reviews" go, All I know is that Reno is one completely recycled joke(?) after another. If being Un-Funny was a crime...

Jesus, i thought i was stoned or something. Thanks for clearing the air on that one. I would be watching family guy or mr. show and then blotter would come on and they'd show one two minute scene and then a totally different show would come on. Of course, i thought loudly, "WTF?" and checked the tv guide channel. I don't think there were even any credits leading into or out of the show.

I agree that it is funny. Reno is better because I'm more familiar with the actors. Holy shit, when Wiegel was dating Craig, that was Emmy worthy.

Of course neither family guy or mr. show (untill 2 weeks ago) were ever one comedy central.

Follow along TJ. We were talking about Reno911 which turned into a conversation about Blotter! which is on TBS. BTW, there is intro and outros on the show when it's longer than 2 minutes. Under and there is only a brief intro.
