Cue the coconuts - Mike Nichols is set to direct the musical version of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail". Pythonite Eric Idle is fashioning the musical's script from the 1975 screenplay he wrote with the rest of the Python cast.
The musical will come out under a new name. "I like the title 'Spamelot' a lot," said Eric Idle, the project's book writer. "But I was thinking it might be smart to ask audiences on my upcoming U.S. tour if they liked it as much as I do. After all, they are the ones who will be paying Broadway prices to see the show. So there's a good chance the title may change."
