this morning i saw a tv show on the bbc called "little britian" my god its horrible. its like they want to be monty python, but they tripped over madtv. i know we have alot of shitty shows in america, but you guys always make fun of how we dont "get" dry humor, yet you (british, not you in particular, i like you) spit this shit at us.
I'm not sure who it is that keeps saying Americans don't 'get' British humour, but they're idiots. Once upon a time that was true, by that I mean pre-Python, when we had comedy greats like Peter Cook. These days our cultures aren't so significantly different, and our senses of humour aren't that different either.
Thing is, just as in America there is shit comedy that is popular, over here there is the same thing also. Difference is, when we have shit comedy that is popular and you guys don't like it, people defend it by saying that you gon't 'get' it. When the reverse occurs, we just put it down to Americans being shit and having no sense of humour. And you guys don't say anything, because you're rude and don't really like us.
you = Americans in general
we = Britons in general
Point of all this is, it's the idiotic and ignorant majority saying these things (and liking shitty comedy). So it has no place here!

there showing more clips of it now. i'm even begining to hate you.
Well that's not fair, they've been showing Friends every single day for the past 10 years here. And you've got to remember we only have 5 main channels, and it's shown on channel 4. In a primetime slot usually too. Every single day. For 10 years. Primetime.
