my life got flip-turned up-side-down
now if you'd like to take a moment just sit right there
and i'll tell you how i became prince of a town called bell air

in west philidalphia-born and raised
on the play groung- is where i spent most of my days
chillin' out max and relaxing all cool
just playing some b-ball out side of the school
when a couple of guys who were up to no good
started making trouble in the neighborhood

i got in one little fight and my mom got scared she said
"youre moving with your auntie and uncle in bell-air"
so i whistled for a cab and when it came near
the liscence plate said "fresh" and it had dice in the mirror
if anything i could say the discount was rare
but i thought "nah forget it- go home to bell-air"

i-got up to the court around seven or eight
i said to the cabbie "Yo homes, smell ya later
i looked at my kingdom, i was finally there
i took a seat on my thrown. i'm the prince of bell-air
