does anybody know what i'd have to do to get an internship on a show? is it mainly done through colleges, or do they want people to submit material and then they choose from there? any input would help. thanks.

It's who you know.

Hey - I'm new here but this is a question I can answer. First it depends on where you are located...I didn't look at your profile so I don't know. If you are in the Los Angeles area, most studios/shows will only take interns who are going for college credit. However, there are some that will take interns without it. the best way to find out is to go to the network/studio's website and look under job opportunities. Most intern job descriptions will specify college credit or not. Also, many companies have job opportunities in their satelite offices across the country and you can search by city.

Another useful tool if you are not in LA is Craig's list. There is a TV/Movie job category.

Most likely the best way to find out is to call the station directly and ask for the Human Resources department. They will be able to tell you exactly what they have available and how to apply.

Good Luck!
