Hello everyone --
Does anyone know of any books that explains how to submit comedy writings to television shows and/or other comedians?
Any info is helpful!
Thanks
Danny
PS---Just in case you're wondering...or even care...I'm new to this group. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.

I'm not sure if it would have what you're looking for, and I think it might just deal with newpapers/magazines/book publishers, but I know that there is a book that is updated annually called Writer's Market. It's pretty expensive so you might want to check your local library.

i always say forget about them. do it for you. get a camera w/ firewire, get a mac, get final cut, get some friends to act, learn how to direct and act at the same time. then take it from there. then submit it to comedy film festivals. one of my first sketches made it to a festival in new york, where david cross apparently saw it, they said he laughed, i was stoked. i forget the name of the place, i know bob odenkirk premiered his movie there. my sketch wasn't that great when i look back on it, so it might not be that hard. you don't need money(well except for the mac).

Well funnydan, some successful writters have "Agents" now these "Agents" can help get your crap out there. Also, if you wanna impress the sperm outta them you gottsta have mocksy, or moxy, or mokstisity, which ever you prefer.
