I'm watching Run Ronnie Run on WGN. First of all, WHAT? Secondly, they mention David in the bumpers, but never Bob. Thirdly, they keep censoring the word "bitch", but never "bastard". Third-and-a-half-ly, it seems they actually bothered to record "mickey-fickey"-style replacement words to put in certain places. I started watching it late, and wasn't paying much attention, but I've gotta try and catch this if the ever show the censored version again, because I caught something kinda funny at the end. This kid with Crossy's voice says something about getting his special shoes or something. David's reaction in the actual movie is, "I don't give a god damn", or something close to it. In the censored version, he says, "I don't give a golly-frob." I shit you not.
I imagine this was edited to run earlier in the evening and they didn't bother to re-edit for the middle-of-the-night broadcast that I caught. But it seems odd that the same station that censored impressively little when they showed the "Mr. Show" series couldn't even muster the go-nards to air the word "bitch". Bitches.
By the way, I don't know what kind of difference a B&D edit could possibly make, but Tom Kenny's newsman bits are REALLY painful. I mean, so are other things. But that really stands out as... wow.
