Little Miss Sunshine?

Hey anybody here see Little Miss Sunshine, the ads have me kinda intrested in it but Ebert said that he liked it and as far as I'm concerned movie critics don't know screw all about movies so i dunno.

I saw it and thought it was great. One scene in particular had me laughing harder than I have laughed in months.

The little miss sunshine child beauty queen pagent had me laughing pretty hard...in a disturbed kind of way. It kind of reminded me or a Wes Anderson film...

The movie is totaly worth seeing in my own humble opinion.

It's a good character study. I enjoyed it quite a bit but I can see why somebody might not.

YOU HATE ON EBERT YOU HATE ON AMERICA no but really Ebert knows his shit, mostly. And when he doesn't, he's usually pretty good about admitting it when he realizes it.

Most of the people who hate on Ebert are LOTR or Star Wars or Horror Movie fanboys who get upset when he doesn't instantly give 20 thumbs up for whatever shitty movie they're in love with.

I used to defend Ebert all of the time. I liked the way he seemed to go into each viewing wanting to like the film he was seeing regardless of genre or filmmaker. He seemed like a genuine film lover. But when he gave that POS "Hollywood Homicide" thumbs up, he lost me. As I sat through that cliched crap (which I rented based on his "thumbs up") I could think of no other reason for him to give it a positive review other than a little payola. And if he wasn't paid for the review then he's just an idiot. Either way, his reviews became meaningless to me.

edit: but he's still as sexy as hell. Can you say "man-boobs"?
