I went to a private test screening of the new Borat movie last week. That shit was very, very, very, very motherfucking hilarious. Going in I thought the concept had disaster written all over it... holy fuckenstein was I wrong.

I saw it at comic-con and can confirm its amazingness. I have a feeling quite a bit of what I saw wont see air in theaters though...

Klaus what do you think?

Borat is the only reason to watch Ali G... In the commentary he talks about never washing the suit that Borat wears for years. The overpowering stench just convinces people that he's real. The Polaroids of his sister.....

Sorry to disagree, but I find that the Frankie character (gay fashion guy) is the tops.

It's funny as hell AND it makes a fucking point to show how retarded people are.

Borat does that, but not as well.

I thought his name was Bruno...

CptPlanet

it is bruno i think, and yeah he makes a pretty good point about how catty and shallow and awful people in showbiz (and especially fashion) are, but theres no way hes even half as funny as borat.

I've been watching some of the Bruno & Borat segments from the American version of Ali G on YouTube. For some reason, while the Ali G character got kind of stale to me, Bruno and Borat have developed into really funny characters. Kind of irritating really.

The word from everyone who has been to a screening of Borat is that it is brilliant, but will probably get cut heavily.

edit: Oh, and it's quite funny seeing the contrast between peoples reactions to Borat/Bruno in England and America. Seemed like most of the English people became guarded or amused, whilst the American's interviewed got pissed off pretty quickly.

Borat might be cut heavily, but the DVD will kick some ass.

Best poster since The Forty Year Old Virgin.

There was this hurricane. All my friends died, but I survived.

I mean, if you want to call being in Kentucky living.

All of them, gone. My computer, my refrigerator, my grampapa, my couch...all gone.

I can't believe I'll never see my leather couch again.

This didn't meet my unreachable expectations. Maybe editting? It was good all-around (way more plot than expected) but I thought I'd shit myself laughing, nonLITERALLY.

I saw it in a full theatre in the middle of the day. I'm always overly-judgmental of people in movie theatres, but there were a couple of idiot college guys behind me (yelling at their friends at the bottom of rows, laughing before it even started), after the naked fight one of them said "that was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen". Really? And after it was over another said, "that was the funniest movie I've ever seen". Really? This one movie is introducing you to that many new things? You're probably at least a couple years older than me. There need to be a million more Borat movies to slightly victimize people who slightly deserve it.

My Borat review, by DoctorDelicious.

First of all, I must confess, my dog ate my credit card last night, and I did not yet see the Borat movie. So my report is going to be somewhat informationally challenged. However, I still feel qualified to give a review. Borat...A. The trailer....A. The credits, well, I saw the shit out of them. I got wetter than Ive ever been in my life, and Im from Canada. I got my money's worth, and I spent zero dollars, because I havent seen it yet.

My review of Pollypry's review of the movie? D+.
A) Her use of 'college student' as metaphor for the freshly smoked crack she was doing was not a clever enough alliteration.
B) There were very few nude pictures of anyone in her review.
C) Im pretty sure I saw her run over a basket of puppies once.
D) She also said some shit at some point about my mother.
E) Because the movie did not live up to her expectations, does that mean that I should decide to become an emo pussy? No. Probably not.
F) But Im going to do it anyway.

As a newly emo bitch, I move that women be subjected to the old three fifth's compromise rule. It worked for whitey in the stagecoach days, no reason it cant work now.
In conclusion, word.

Hope they don't make the Bruno flick, the character is Cohen's weakest effort, irritating and never makes me laugh. grrr.

yeah, but other types of people are politicians, large public groups of people, heads of high-profile organizations, dumb kids, racists who watch regis and kelly, etc. If all the movie was Borat horrifying little old ladies or your parents booooooooooring.

I have the type of parents who watch the Ali G Show.

My mom's favorite show of all time is Strangers With Candy.

My dad will watch Mr. Show on his own. He might only laugh out loud once per episode, but he still likes to watch it.
