Jim Gaffigan at Town Hall Oct. 14

Just found out tickets are now on sale for Jim Gaffigan's Town Hall NYC concert--Oct. 14. Tickets are also on sale for most of his fall tour. Jim Gaffigan and Jordan Rubin also put out a cool podcast series called "Our Massive Planet" which is free on itunes.

I am not just saying this because we are (best) friends. Jim is a comic genius and you better go to his show because everybody but you has seen him live. You don't want to be the only one not to see him live do you?

What's interesting, is that I do not normally fall head over heels without seeing a comic in action on the main stage (big or very intimate). However, I took the millenium short cut and viewed his website, and myspace and just became obsessed. (Not in a, "what's your address, what time do you go jogging?" type of way merely a "hey, you really gots something good man" way.

Jim's comedy (I say Jim, because I feel like I know him") has that quality. It touches on subjects that are funny, but us "normal kin" can't quite make it that way without a little redbull and a no-doz. I trust, with comics like this surfacing in the comedy club areas, we are bound to fade out serious actors, and have the academy in an uproar. Viva La Jim!
