Everything after August and Everything After sucks. Lots of August and Everything After sucks, as well. My brother and I used to use "Raining in Baltimore" as the gold standard for shitty, shitty songs. We would have a conversation where one of us would tell the other about a bad song we heard, and the other one would say, "Is it 'Raining in Baltimore' bad?" But there's some great stuff on there, I think. "Anna Begins". "Sullivan Street"!! Nice. Really nice.

I never liked Counting Crows until I saw them perform live. I was really impressed. The lead singer is really passionate and seems to give a shit about what he's singing. I think they're much better as a live band than a studio one.

their cover of Big Yellow Taxi is probably the WORST professional cover I have ever heard in my entire life.

I saw them in concert (a free concert, mind you) last year. They came out an HOUR late, stoned wearing sweat pants. Fellas -- the 90s are over, grow up.
