Bob made a pilot for TV that didn't get bought so he turned it into a short film that is currently playing at Sundance. It's called "Derek & Simon: The Pity Card" and it's a shame it didn't get picked up. I think it probably would have made a good show. Here's the link if you want to watch it but be quick, it'll only be online while the festival is playing.
Here's the link: http://festival.sundance.org/2006/watch/film.aspx?which=410&category=F
Here's what Bob says: http://www.bobanddavid.com/bob.asp?artId=187

I watched it right away and I bookmarked the page so I could show the others! I liked it. I liked the girlfriend talking about her college and the term ghetto.

If this is the same genius who is responsible for KUNG POW then I care. I heard there was a KUNG POW 2 coming out.
Kung Pow is the most underated comedy in the last 15 years.

Well I was mistaken. Who the fuck knew there were 2 Oderkirks?
Its not exactly a common name.
Ya I noticed they aren't spelled the same, save it geniuses.
When a highly skilled martial artist known as "the chosen one" sets out to avenge his family's death, he faces his greatest challenges yet: a cow with a deadly udder and a warlord who insists everyone call him "Betty." Writer-director-actor Steve Oderkirk inserts himself into old chop-socky film footage and redubs the result into a parody of those 1970s Hong Kong classics, where everybody was kung fu fightin'!
IF YOU HAVE NOT GIVEN THIS FILM A CHANCE THEN YOU should not be calling yourself a comedien!
Look for the Kung Pow thread coming soon!

I just watched this.
thanks for posting it Tainters.
The girl did a really good job playing that character.
I love that Zach punches it up to give it a little lighter side.
i'll give it 7.3 out of 93,864.

I'm trying to remember where I've seen the girl before, but can't.
It was a great short, though.

I liked Zach in it as well. It was a nice surprise. I wonder if the pilot is floating around anywhere? I'd like to see it. Maybe the short will garner some acclaim (it already has) and the show will get picked up.

For those of you who aren't from the beautiful Northwest Evergreen is an actual college where you create your own cariculum and your own major. The whole thing seems like bullshit to me but everyone that I know that went there loved it. Way to go hippies.
As I am from the northwest can somebody now explain to me what a ghetto is?

I graduated from Evergreen and the woman in the video represents a fair portion of the student body.
Evergreen is a good college if you're good at challenging yourself, have a good idea of what you want to learn and are self motivated.
Its also a good college if you're just looking for a way to waste your trustfund without having to learn any actual skills.
I worked in the computer center and there was inevitably always a few assholes who wasted their entire quarter getting stoned and ended up trying to cram their entire independent project into one weekend.
There was one guy who was supposed to have learned graphic design, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Flash and DVD software for a video portfolio and decided to put it off until three days before it was due. He then expected us to teach him how to do it all.
Evergreen is bullshit if you're a bullshitter. I personally got a lot out of it tho.
