Just bought the dvd and have watched the first few episodes. Mahhh....not bad. Sometimes it takes me a few viewings to really lke something. Plus there's still about 7 episodes for me to watch. Do you recommend a particularily good ep?

I haven't watched every episode on the dvd yet, but the best one that I've come across so far has been "Power Marketing."

I suppose I should have mentioned that I'm also in your camp, so far the show hasn't really hooked me... I don't know, it just seems tame in comparision to Mr. Show, and say, Strangers With Candy.

I love the UCB. My favorite episodes seem to change depending on how much I get to watch a certain one and find new things in them. Definitely check out "Lady of the Lake", the first episode on the second disc of season one. I hope the rest of the seasons come out. Each episode, in my opinion, has at least one really winner sketch though. Kind of like Kids in the Hall.

There is one episode of UBC that continues to haunt me to this very day. In fact, my friends and I have been using it in conversation every since we saw the episode...

Has anyone seen the episode with Danny (the kid who says nothing but "Shutup." and "Hit me.") and his parents?

How could you resist saying "Shutup." any other way from that point on?

which ep is that?

I saw the episode with Danny the kid who could only say "Shut up" and eventually "Hit me." Not the funniest sketch but certainly good for a laugh. I really like the way they tie the sketches together and incorporate more pranks in the later seasons.

i like the cyborgs episode and bucket of truth the most. time machine has some great lines in it too
"dont you want to go back in time and push truman down a flight of stairs?"
"why would i want to push truman?"
"becouse you can."

and poo stick
"i had the title AND titular lines in star wars."
"they're the same thing!"
"nuh-uh!"

I saw that show when it was on. I thought it was great. Really twisted comedy. I liked the sketch about the guy who was living in a computer generated reality and had really been being fucked in the ass in some guys basement for years and years. Also ProThunderball was hilarious.

I thought the "Pro Thunderball" episode never aired. That's what it says on the official UCB site. They just eluded to it through the season, like "Super Cool" and "The Titté Brothers" from the previous seasons. I don't know. I didn't watch the show much when it was on. I could tell there was some genius there, but it didn't work that well on Comedy Central because of being censored and cut up by commercials. That would have been a great show for HBO or something.

I just came across something interesting. Your MOTHER!!!!! No, wait. I just noticed that there's (at least) two fan sites that stopped updating before the episodes from the third season started airing. I don't remember, but I suspect Comedy Central was pretty much DONE with the show by season three, so they cut WAY back on promotions and adopted the Whack-a-Mole programming strategy to confuse, frustrate and alienate the loyal fans of the show while completely eliminating any casual fans. Again, I don't know. I can't remember. But it's certainly a familiar scenario. Anyone here ever heard of a little show called "Mister"???

i'm positive the "pro thunderball" episode aired, i remember watching it. maybe it just only aired once, i remember it being pretty violent, even for comedy central. then again, i was only 13 or so at the time so take that for what it's worth.

Ah-HAAAAAAAA! I see where I fucked up. THIS (http://www.uprightcitizens.org/48/gallery/main.shtml) is where I got that information from. It's from the UCB's official website, right? Well, sort of. It's from the "Comedy Central Salvaged Content" section! It's stuff that USED TO be on CC's website back when they gave two shits about promoting the show. So what I'm assuming happened is, the version of it that's currently on the UCB's site is from before the final two episodes aired. Or maybe that's the last time CC even bothered to update it.

Okay, finally got that more or less figured out. Now I can move on with my life.

By the way, I just happened to notice the "Little Donnie" episode was on last night (3:30am)! Yes, it was actually ON Comedy Central!!! Where did THAT come from??? So I checked their schedule and I see one more episode is on there. I think it said Thursday @ 2:30pm, but I don't feel like looking it up right (c_______ b______) now. It's from season two, I think!

Pro Thunderball must have aired because I onyl saw the show when episodes were being made and aired. I also saw the Super Cool episode, did you say that one never aired?

Thanks Much to whomever knows the answer!

Your welcome. But I don't remember. It wouldn't be that hard for me to find out, but I feel like being a dick right now. However, I'm pretty sure it's in Season 1, which is the only season CC has seen fit to release on DVD, so, assuming I'm correct, you're in luck. If it's not on there, I guess you'll just be stuck with five hours worth of high quality sketch comedy.

OR, if you're low on funds, or are just in a hurry, you can watch the first part of it (pre-"Hit me!") here (http://www.spikedhumor.com/articles/5363/Upright_Citizens_Brigade_Shut_up.html).

Thanks 3v3+Z, that is just what I was looking for, I was able to download that part of it. I would still like to know which episode it is so I can watch for it on the Comcast On Demand schedule, then I can record the whole sketch.

Thanks Rabot for confirming season 1.

You guys are great! - Elijah
