Agreed, it was not very good. The best part was the penis map for sure.
Wait, did south park start up again? Drawn Together got another season?
Stella what?

that was good and the jew gold thing made me laugh a little but ugh it looks like they just went to google news an hour before the storyboard was due and built the episode around the first three headlines

That's what they always do. Since they can produce the show so fast they always throw topical shit in there. I thought it was OK, pretty much the same as it's been for a long time. They plateaued awhile ago and it's just taking an unusually long time for it to rocket downhill.

For two guys who say they hate it when celebrities use their position to push political issues, they seem to do just that an awful lot.
I'm really tired of the conservative agenda that they are spewing. And before someone yells at me, yes I know that they are Libertarians, but Libertarians are conservative just as the Green Party is liberal.

Usually you can at least tell what point they're trying to make though. Last night was just a fucking grab bag of stupid half-formed ideas. It had a few laughs but they were all jokes that had nothing to do with the "political" content of the show. Still it was probably the worst episode of South Park I've seen to date.
Also I'd rather them just spew vile hateful neocon propaganda than ever have to watch them do one of their "the truth is in the middle" endings. Those are fucking awful.

Dude, the Osama episode was 10 times more unfunny and slapped together than last night's IMO. That still holds my award for the most dissapointing South Park.
I thought last night's premier was cute and walked the line nicely. I was worried they'd make it into another "global warming is a hoax" rant, but they had fun with it and poked fun at all sides.
Definitely not a block rocker episode, but the humor was playful and not as heavy handed as some of their other episodes.
They seem to be getting more subtle in their approach, which is good in my eyes. Plus, they're finally breaking away from their "I learned something today" formula, which was tired long before the Rob Reiner ep.
But, it is kinda weird how this season all the amazing comedies have had less than amazing premiers. Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Stella, now South Park.

I've probably only watched a dozen or so episodes of South Park in my life. Are they still killing Kenny? That was hilarious.

Hey sooooo what did you guys think of the Terri Schiavo episode? Because it kind of pissed me off. You remember that Kenny was like Schiavo and Cartman represented the side that wanted to remove the tube and Kyle and Stan represented those who wanted it left in. Then the episode gives its little message- Kyle says, "Cartman's side is right, for the wrong reasons. But we're wrong, for the right reasons." What the fuck does that mean? The wrong reasons... I don't know....

Cartman wanted the feeding tube removed because he wanted Kenny's PSP, not because he wanted him to die with dignity.
Kyle and Stan were wrong to want someone who should be dead to be kept alive via artificial means, even if it was because they honestly loved him.

Yeah, but they weren't just talking about Cartman! They were referring to the real world!

They stopped referring to the real world a long time ago. I like how the episode was making fun of the Bullshit global warming is. Then I turned it to the weather channel and realized the 4th fucking catagory 5 hurricane is setting record windspeeds...

I really didn’t see anything that amounted to a denial of global warming. I mean it was more a skewering of The Day After Tomorrow than anything. The reality of global warming is that it doesn’t happen all at once and can’t be run from. So by having everyone run from nothing they were really just trying to show how ridiculous that movie was to try and make global warming into Godzilla.
In general I like the way South Park deals with topical material they tend to take less of a black and white approach to it than the mainstream media or people like the president try to push. That’s why they tend to piss people off on both sides of the spectrum.

I've never seen The Day After Tomarrow, or the second half of the episode. So I'm really just venting my rage at the fact that they haven't done any "Chicken Fucker" and zombies/turkeys/retards attacking episodes since 99.

Yeah the chicken fucker episode was great. I loved the cripple fight, but would that be true if i had never seen They Live?
I actually havnt found South Park to be laugh out loud funny for many seasons except for maybe a gag here and there (like the penis map). The Dragon Ball Z parody protect my balls thing was probably the last really good episode as far as I'm concerned.
If they retred old territory though it wouldn't be funny either. I actually can't think of anything they could do that would really make it feel fresh again.
Explorers was my favorite movie when I was 8. I saw it again 2 years ago and that shit is fucking awful.

Any episode where Cartman fucks with Butters is usually great. Like the "Casabenita" and "Cartman is a Ghost" episodes.

Until Wesley Snipes gets melanoma I will continue to look at global warming as nothing more than the liberal left attempting to push the sale of tiny faggot cars in order to promote their pro-homosexual agenda.

I hope that's a joke. Global warming is fact. Even the most jaded and obdurate scientists are finally accepting it. It doesn't mean humans are horrible cocksuckers and the fact you're dad drives a Suburban makes him an unredeemable monster. It's just the way our Planet works. That's all. T-Rex didn't have a 389 HP small block Chevy to chase down his prey and look how he ended up. LEARN the truth rather than have someone tell you theirs. Knowledge learn book good.

I've almost convinced myself that I posted the Micheal Crichton thing in a drunken haze I don't recall. I remember reading something about Crichton's new book being anti-global warming, and thought about dropping a reference to him on this topic. But I have no concious memory of doing so. HAVE I GONE MAD!?!?

The Earth will always win. We can fuck with it all we want. Eventually the Earth will do whatever it wants.
All we are doing is speeding up the whole death process. There will be another ice age in 200,000 - 400,000 years so really it won't matter much.
what is this "passion of the jew" dvd i keep seeing? is it funny and well done? or is it a shitty south park cash grab?
Brain Stew

Basically it's like one of those theme dvd sets where they took the one episode that has to do with The Passion and added two or three more episodes. Pretty pointless really.

They released it the same time as the Passion DVD.
Yeah. Cash grab.

i think the gravitational pull of the sun is bringing us closer, because, seeing as we are made of the light from the sun, and the sun is always happy in pictures, it wants to meet its progeny. it doesn't know that it is so fucking hot that it will kill us in the process. sad, really.
