So I just saw John Ennis in a Tilex commercial. He was playing the role (I believe) of astonished plumber. Wait, Tilex isn't for drains. Whatever he was playing, he was dirty and slapped himself in the face multiple times. Enjoy this comedy shit. Seems like a real career move.

Yeah, and David Cross is a corporate sellout for pimping AOL and Bob Odenkirk is a total tool of Miller beer.
Blah blah blah.
Because being in a commerical totally negates one's abilities and talents as a performer.

Bob and David talk about this on the DVD commentaries. A lot of fans think that all the cast members should be getting incredible jobs because they were on Mr. Show when the truth is that being on Mr. Show doesn't mean anything to most producers or casting directors.
So, people like John Ennis have to take what they can get in regards to acting parts.

Bob and Dave did a meet and greet at my college a few years back after wrapping up the Mr. Show tour. Everyone was asking questions why they weren't huge comedy gods in Hollywood yet.
Bob answered pretty well.
"You've gotta realize that 99% of the people who are producing films are just now saying 'So I hear there's a lot of buzz around this up and comer named Adam Sandler right now.'"

That's a good point, most executives in the entertainment industry are behind the trend by at least 10 years. Which makes sense, because the further you go up a corporate the more the environment becomes insular and apt to agree with you.

He's got a firm grip on something and I don't think it's reality.
