I apologize if this was listed in another place, but according to the brooklyn vegan..

Eugene Mirman signs to Sub Pop | Playing Pianos (tix)
"It's true, Eugene Mirman has signed to sub pop records. He will be recording a live comedy album for us in the fall. Hopefully, if all goes as planned, it will be funny and lovers of comedy worldwide will have their stomachs filled with laugther and joy. If you don't understand what this means, get the net and click the link below." [Sub Pop]

October 23rd and 24th count as the Fall, so it's likely you'll be laughing on the CD if you go to one of his shows at Pianos on those dates. Tickets on sale.

I think I'm going to stay home and just buy the cd. Better yet I'll try and get one for free. I'm friends with the guy that cleans the bathrooms at sub pop. That's right I've got connections.

I went to the upstairs for his other taping, but I've seen Eugene at least 12 times so I doubt I'll go to this.

Chaza's big return... a little bit of a let down.

He's doing all new material for his cd.

I'm not really that gay.

One of these statements is false.

Damnit, I always see Eugene when I go to the city, I went to the Across the Narrows festival in Brooklyn, and Demetri Martin was the MC. But they showed some clips from Staten Island where Eugene was hosting.

I'll probably go to the taping. but I'll be upstairs, I'm not paying on principle.

Yeah, I'll be at the show on Monday, predrunk as I'm not paying for drinks at Pianos. I know a bar on the way that has a good happy hour.

Here's an interview with Eugene:
http://onetrickpony.ws/eugene_mirman

He mentions the new CD and lots of other stuff.

I very much enjoyed the segment on his site about the anti-gay phone company.

When I was home in Michigan las tweek the Mirman was doing an add for a local radio station that involved him putting up his fingering and summoning music and he said " i have more music in my finger than the entire internet" or something like that, pretty gay in my opinion but a niggaz gotta eat i guess.

or it could be from this. Plus doing radio ads in michigan is essentially doing the same thing as tv ads in Japan. No one important will see them.

i talked to him about his commercial work and he said that he did a bunch of really wild stuff and they were like "uh... how about the robot with the finger" so he was kind of upset they didn't use his wild stuff.

But yes, a brother's gotta eat.
