they pay good money to young comedians to tape half hour specials.

ALOT of the stuff they do is shit, but they are taking alot of chances on young comedians.

I am planning on getting my own special on Comedy Now in... oh lets say next year... so come on now.

alot of the shit is terrible, but that's not the shows fault. they can only put on people who are getting promoted by comedy clubs... so the root of the problem is the clubs for promoting shit.

Hopefully you'll be the first funny thing to come from this event Agent_Punt, but honestly, I'm not too excited by the rest of it.
I'd rather continue to put my energies into making something for Channel 101. Even if there's not a 6 digit development deal at the end of the tunnel, working with and learning from quality comedians and film makers seems a lot more worth wild than getting a show that will probably be re-tooled to death.
Thats just me tho.
