COMEDIANS GATHER FOR HURRICANE RELIEF
Culver City, CA We will be dedicating all September shows at The Comedy District in Culver City to hurricane relief for New Orleans and will be collecting donations for Charity Hospital in New Orleans and Noah's Wish all month. One helps people and the other rescues animals.
The shows tomorrow Fri and Sat (9-1 through 9-3), will all be NO COVER - DONATION ONLY plus a 2 drink min. (of which 20% will go to charity as well, so if someone doesn't give at the door, at least they will contribute by drinking). We'll also be donating 100% of the door and 20% of food/drinks for the entire month of September. Info will appear at www.thecomedydistrict.com all month.
As you've probably seen on TV, the hurricane pounded New Orleans Sunday but Monday the lake flooded the French Quarter and surrounding areas downtown. It's chaos. Homes are destroyed. Families are devastated. People are looting. It's really awful.
A handful of us used to call New Orleans home so this has hit us particularly hard.
Donations can be made at our shows or on our website at:
http://www.thecomedydistrict.com
Thanks!!!
Dan
