I watched one episode when it was on TV. Now, I rented the entire series on DVD from NetFlix.
I haven't seen the 4th disc yet, but this show is very, very funny.
It's definatly up there with Arrested Development. Of course, this did come before AD.
If you are also a fan of some Denis Leary stuff, check this out... his timing is key to his character's humor. All the other characters (including Adam Ferarra and Lenny Clark) are perfect together.
It's kind of the anti-cop drama. It's politically incorrect and most of the stuff comes from actual stories you may of hear of (circa '00).
Check it out now.

The Job was really great. A lot better than Rescue Me, especially now that it's not doing as well in it's second season as it did in it's first. Rescue Me would be a lot better if they didn't try to be funny at times. And if there wasn't at least one moment in every episode where somebody says something about being Irish. And if the religious angle was toned down a bit.
Did anybody ever see Contest Searchlight? Denis and his crew did it right after The Job. It ran on Comedy Central for four episodes. That was great too, as good as The Job. I wish they'd release that on DVD.

Peter Gallagher getting hit by a car was one of the funniest things I've ever seen, thanks to Contest Searchlight.

If only project greenlight had been half as good, they might have picked up searchlight.
How bout those idiots from ohio? Why not just build a money bonfire.

Maybe, I don't like Leary's stand-up either.

David Cross, Dennis Leary, Henry Winkler, Jay Leno, and I have something in common... we went to the same college and none of us are funny.
