Heard on "The Soup" that AMC won't be showing the unrated movie, "The Aristocrats". Anyone know this joke? It is suppose to be quite offensive. The movie films many comedians giving their spin on it. I saw Sarah Silverman in an article for it. Sorry if this has already been discussed.

This is the first I've heard of this movie, for some reason. Here (http://www.thearistocrats.com/) is the official site, here (http://www.thinkfilmcompany.com/films/thearistocrats/) is the site for the "studio"(?), and here (http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/the_aristocrats.html) is the Apple QuickTime trailer (though you can see the same trailer from all three sites).

Here (http://www.dead-frog.com/aristocrats/) are a bunch of variations on the joke.

So, is "The Soup" actually any good? I've been avoiding it because my dad called me up one day just to tell me how funny that guy was.

Thanks for the heads-up, Tam-Tam.

I saw the movie a few months ago and I say it's more interesting than it is funny.

"The Soup" has its moments. Sometimes it is too close to "Best Week Ever". I just watch so I can keep up on pop culture without having to actually watch reality t.v.
Thanks for the links.
Love,

I liked it better when John Henson was the host.

I wish I were an aristocrat. I think I'd be way better than most people at being cultured and rich.

It's playing in New York on the 28th. Maybe those coming in can waste their time and money.

saw this movie last night. it wasn't funny.

had a couple interesting notes, but you have to be a semi-comedy fan to enjoy it.

casual people won't like it. and super comedy nerds won't like it.

The "cast" is half hacks or mimes or magicians etc... that have no originality in their bodies.

I don't understand why no one was creative at all? I really don't understand.

George Carlin was good, but it was only 30 seconds.

Anyways, they have an open contest for the best 10 minute (or less) version. Winner will get their version added to the DVD release. (www.aristocrats.com)

The contest closes on Sept. 30th. It's open to Canada and the USA.

I bet this will become one of the new "hipster" things that people will do at parties. "let's all tell that joke!"

I agree with Nick, though some parts are entertaining, you don't want to listen to the same joke for an hour and a half.

the stories about the aristocrat parties with the 70's SNL guys was a nice little tidbit.
