The State DVDs?

I found a bunch of 4 disc sets of The State on ebay that were ripped to DVD from, I guess, VHS. Are these things worth buying or is this just a scam and not worth it? Has anyone seen these?

Six years ago I purchased a set of tapes of all the episodes via some dude on an e-mail group.

Very tough to watch. Shitty quality.

I say wait it out. David Wain says that they're still working on it, and Mtv keeps pushing it back, but it'll be released eventually and hopefully within the year.

Until DVD release, it's all about the "made it yourself" shitty VHS, NOT the "someone else's 'made it yourself' shitty VHS" DVD.

STATE DVD *UPDATE* Feb 4, 2005
There is still no release date from MTV Home video for the State DVD collection. All we know is there are many people at MTV, Viacom and other places diligently working every day, trying to cut through the red tape. When we hear ANYTHING we'll post it right here. (http://www.the-state.com/)
