I, too, have heard confirmation of Mitch Hedberg's unfortunate demise. I've read reports from such dubious sources as MTV.com (via google, as I hate MTV with a passion), and ComedyCentral.com, as well as less dubious sources like the Baltimore Sun. I offer my comiserations to his family, and fellow fans.
He was found in a hotel room, Wednesday morning. The most tragic part of it is that he has to go through his non-corporeal existence, knowing not only that he died in New Jersey, but he was outlived by Terri Schaivo, and the Pope (who happens to be on his way out as well). It is reported that he suffered a heart attack.
