hey, has anyone had a problem with the quality of the dvds from season 4? i bought them and one disc stopped in a certain point, so i took it back and the 2nd set of dvds does the same thing, it stops on disc 2 in several episodes...always at the same place

it could be your player.

try it on a different machine.

some cheaper models have problems reading information on dual layered DVD's... not sure if your machine or the DVD fits that criteria but it sounds possible.

try it on a friends player (a newer machine than yours maybe?)...

if it still happens let me know.

yeah, i tried it on my brothers player and one of my friends player, happened on theirs too, but their dvd players probably aren't newer than mine or if they are not much newer. I do hope that its not my player as i would much rather buy a 20$ dvd than a new player.

RETURN IT AND GET ANOTHER COPY - this probably would have been less work than you have done already, are you handicapped?

not handicapped, but i believe your reading comprehension skills must be, as i stated that i already did return it once. i don't want to keep returning it and keep getting discs that do the same thing, so i thought i would ask if anyone else had the same problem. try to stay with me here, its not that complicated.

From what i can tell, you linked them by actors/directors.

If this werent the case, I'd recomend putting Ikiru at the top.

I love Takeshi Kitano's films. He's a good director and his films are great. The ones he only acts in kind of stink but I still like him.

I LOVE CRITERION!

L’Avventura - This film isn't about Jim Carrey tracking down lost pets or making jokes with his asshole. However, it's still not enjoyable to watch.

The Passenger - Next time I'll drive!

Blow-Up - Does not feature explosions.

The 400 Blows - Also does not feature explosions. However, it does blow.

La Dolce Vita - That's Italian for "boring"

I Vitelloni - That's boring for "Italian"

Amarcord - The only "cord" I remember from having watched this was the one I eventually had to unplug from the wall.

I was born but… - ...should have been aborted in the editing room.

Tokyo Story - Minus the good food.

Hidden Fortress - George Lucas claims that this film was his primary inspiration for STAR WARS. It's a shame there weren't any other boring samurai films for him to steal from when he made his other movies.

Ikiru - The title is the Japanese infinitive to live, but that doesn't stop the main character from dying.

Sanjuro - You know what "Sanjuro" is spelled backwards? Neither do I.

Masculine Feminine - Not about transvestites.

A Woman is a Woman - is a not very fun to watch. This one's definitely not about transvestites.

Band of Outsiders - This film is about me!

Pierrot Le Fou - The film might be about me, but I can't translate the fucking title!

Shoot the Piano Player - This is the exact same phrase I chanted in the theater when I saw that Adrien Brody/Holocaust movie a few years back.

Fahrenheit 451 - Michael Moore used this title to sell his 2004 George Bush documentary.

Wild Strawberries - Michael Moore still uses this title to masturbate with.

Jules and Jim - went up the hill, to fetch a pale of pussy.

The Big Heat - The title is the opposite to that of THE BIG CHILL, and the movie itself is the opposite of good.

Rear Window - He won't fuck Grace Kelly, but he will sit in a wheelchair for two hours!

Scarlet Street - Originally called "Velvet Underground".

M - aybe later.

Grand Illusion - If the name isn't enough of a warning, the rest of the movie is.

Rules of the Game - Critics say the title is ironic because the film actually broke a lot of rules in terms of storytelling technique. Critics are assholes.

The Marriage of Maria Braun - I object!

Veronika Voss - Not a Swedish spin-off of BILLY MADISON, but just as gay.

Lola - Run Lola Run!

Winter Light - This is the second most boring movie I've never seen with a season in its title.

Autumn Sonata - This is the first.

Ali: Fear Eats Soul - Features neither Muhammed Ali nor Will Smith, and yet the acting still sucks.

Rope - Unfortunately I couldn't find one.

To Catch a Thief - Use rope.

8½ - Not about a cat on its death bed. Not as entertaining, either.*

Floating Weeds/Story of Floating Weeds - [too easy]

*Because cats have nine lives, you jerks.

to be honest, either Doug Benson is incredibly easy to mimic or we are in the presence of actual mediocrity.
