So, with all the hooplah about Tim & Eric, I decided to give it another shot... watched Tom Goes To The Mayor, watched stuff off their site, and I have to admit... it still sucks.

I see the attempt to be funny, and although I love dick and fart jokes as much as the next guy, I really can't find this stuff to be that funny.

I've come to the conclusion that people find this funny simply because it has some connection to Bob & David (and family). Honestly, it's all about execution, and they really need to be.

I know people who like time and erin more then mr. show.

I really like tim and eric, and feel like a comedy elitist for liking them long before tom goes to the mayor came out. The style they have is really good if you are into it, and if you are not into it will really stink to you, but I'd rather it be that way then middle of the road comedy.

Scotch, you can honestly say you've never once laughed at Louis CK and Patton? That's beyond bizarre to me. What the fuck is wrong with you? You laughed at ME for Christ's sake.
Also, please fix this sentence.

I can honestly see how anyone would not find T&E's stuff funny.

The thing about Louis CK is that he is a REALLY keen observer of social situations. I still remember his one bit where he'd never actually seen anyone win an argument. That is very true.

However, he has a tendency to go overboard with the goofy stuff. Like where he seems to do 5 bits which are a variation on the, "I'd like to just have an argument with someone that doesn't know we're having it!"

Patton is good Louis CK is good Tim and Eric are good. If you think they're overrated suckbags then it's pretty clear that we have differing opinions over something that is entirely subjective therefore fuck you.

I like Tom Goes To The Mayor, and for that matter, pretty much any animation that Tim and Eric have put together so far.

Both Louis CK and Patton Oswalt are funny, however, I think Louis CK is a better comedy writer than as a comedy performer, at least as far as standup goes.

And I even find Robot Chicken amusing. In fact- Kelsey Grammer's Piece of Shit Sketch Show really reminds me a lot of Robot Chicken. The pacing is very similar.

You know- just done live action. With a laugh track. But without the production values. Or the writing. Or the pop culture references.

Or the comedy. But other than that- it's like they are the same show.
