I watched his Comedy Central Presents show at least 10 times and laughed everytime.
Of course that was during my pre-Mr. Show days and therefore my pre-BUTM days. My tastes have changed a lot since then, so I don't know whether I still think he's funny.

You have really low standards in determining what qualifies as a special occasion.

yours are too high and that is why you are depressed. you need a half-birthday party to cheer you up.
Edit: i have never seen a funny mexican comic either. unless short and lazy is funny. i stole that from raising arizona, sort of.

TGS is pretty close to useless at this point.

being useful is very demanding. people are always bugging you to help out with arranging furniture or planting seedlings and shit.

I like the part where he's talking about his Latina girlfriend and he uses the high pitched voice!
Oh, did I also forget to tell you I have a brain tumor?

I think Pablo Francisco is an exception to this, but most Latin comics (this goes for blacks and Asians, too!) think that because they're of a certain minority they can make a bunch of shitty jokes about it (or in George Lopez's case, all of the jokes*).
And I'm certain that David Cross is making fun of these assholes with his track title: "My immigrant mom talks funny!"
But Pablo Francisco's problem isn't that he uses his ethnicity to "enhance" his routine. Pablo Francisco's problem is that he isn't funny, and I think he should join Tom Kenny in making a living off of his voice talents.
*Dat Phan as well

I'm pretty sure that the name of that David Cross track was a shot at Margaret Cho, who does hours of ridiculously boring material about her Korean mother.

you don't think it adequately describes dat phan?

and numerous other shitty comedians

Cpt's probably right that it's aiming at Margaret Cho's bit, which I had forgotten all about (understandibly). But it can most definitely be applied to those other shitty comedians - especially Dat Phan, who does the exact same bit about his asian mother.
So we're all right. :)
