CBS has cut a deal with "Seinfeld" star Jason Alexander for a half-hour sitcom based on the life of a married father of two. "The Simpsons" writer Jeff Martin has written the show, tentatively titled "Shut Up and Listen". "Seinfeld" director Andy Ackerman will helm the sitcom as well as produce.
Alexander will play a married television journalist raising children. "It's not trying to do something incredibly new and different," he said. "(But) I go into this saying, 'This is a good show.' It's good material and has the potential to really grow and be a lovely, funny, touching unique show."
