the forum is movies in theatres, but is this movie, now released on dvd, any good? should i rent it? does it make you want to commit hate crimes? become a hindu jain? do tell.


p.s. when i am feeling bleu, down and out, i drive 45 minutes up the parkway to whities and eat 10 cheeseburgers, cheese fries, mozzarella sticks, and a vanilla milkshake. i have never tried the clam strips, as they seem somewhat incongruous to fast food. the frozen whities at your friendly grocer are ok in a pinch.

edit: just noticed dvd and cd releases forum. don't care much.

One funny movie.

I love the guy who plays Harold. (I forgot his name-I know his last name is Cho....) He was so great in "Better Luck Tomorrow" too. (Now that's one great movie- even for non-asians!)

I have eaten the grocery frozen white castle burgers. I guess they're okay but I'd really like to try the ones they sell in the actual restaurants. But no luck in the West Coast....

I went to a White Castle when I had a layover in Illinois. It was quite delicious, I must say. I had like eight of those tiny little burgers.

There are "Krystal Burgers" in the South (when I say south I mean, like the Carolinas and Tennessee) and those were pretty much the same thing.

When I was in High School, me and my friends would get completely drunk and stoned and hang out at White Castle. Their lobby after midnight was truly something to behold. You've never seen such a group of fucked up mutants. I used to have so much fun there. My friends were responsible for having them close the inside part after midnight. I realized that Sliders (thats what they call the burgers) are only good if you're fucked up. Sober they taste like utter shit and now they nauseate me. The burgers are actually made with liver and they fry them with onions. Liver burgers...yummmmmm. If you ever get to go to a WC, try eating each component seperately. It'll make you sick. I don't want to see this movie because they stole the idea from me and my friends who lived it a decade earlier. Now here's some huge pictures to annoy you.

White Castle's burgers are disgusting but their chicken products are still really good. Also, the clam strips and mozzarella sticks are really good. Whatever you do, don't order a 'Surf N' Turf'. It's a fish patty on top of the burger and it is the absolute in revolting stomach turning garbage. Dear God is it disgusting.

i finally got around to renting this movie, and you know what? it wasn't bad. there are some pretty funny parts (esp. doogie), and on the occasion where it creeps into excessively juvenile crap it manages to pull out in time so you don't feel too ashamed. highly recommended for anyone who went to rutgers (and hence is familiar with the amerasian subculture of "functions" or the perception vs. reality of asian people at large) or is familiar with the central jersey area. though some of the geography doesn't really make sense, the whitey's near rutgers is still there, and there is no white castle in cherry hill, it is in pennsauken near the pennsauken mart on 73.

the movie is nothing new conceptually or comedically, but is worth the $4 rent if you don't have anything going on. i would give it a thumbs up, but i have yet to evolve that far.
