What happened to Houston as a great comedy city. The former home of Bill Hicks and Sam Kinison has now been reduced to hosting such acts as the biggest douche bag. That's sort of an accomplishment.

Hey, I'd be glad to go if it weren't Todd Glass we'd be seeing.

On the other hand, an awesome band called The Arcade Fire is playing in Austin on January 21. I will be seeing them. You are welcome to show up for the show.

To sum up this post:

Todd Glass = not good = not seeing him

Arcade Fire = awesome = seeing them

You're missing out!!

Don't judge him 'cause of his appearance on Last Comic Standing, please!! Afterall, he didn't win, so that's gotta mean something!!!

being on last comic standing is more than enough to judge someone by.

The Arcade Fire is Canadian. I saw them this summer in Austin when they opened for another Canadian band, the Unicorns. And, yes, they are from Montreal. But most importantly, they are seriously awesome.

I apologize for it's name, but they're playing at a place called Emo's which is down near Sixth Street.

I just looked it up, and Emo's is at the corner of Sixth and Red River. It costs $12.50.

When I first saw them play, I seriously thought two members were mentally handicapped. It turns out one is just a red head and the other is Quebecois, which, to be honest, I think made me at least half right.

I hate Emo's and I hate most people in Austin.

I've only been to Emo's once before, and it was to see the Unicorns and Arcade Fire. I think you would find it quite charming to see the Arcade Fire cram seven people on the tiny stage.
