Anchor Bay Entertainment will release
Martin & Orloff on DVD in 2005!
I hear this is a funny movie from UCB and even has Mr. Crossy himself in the mix! I haven't seen it yet, but I have heard really good things.

Davey wasn't complimentary of the movie in an interview but it'll definately be worth a rental. I had a free ticket to go but was unable to get to the city that night unfortunately.

Side stepping comedy-- also stars Kim Raver from NBC's Third Watch (cool show if you haven't seen it)

I've seen it, twice, and it wasn't anything spectacular.
Huh? What's that you say? Oh, right.

Well, Julie, you don't know squat about New York City based Crime Dramas.

"A while" = never, I'm pretty sure. I've heard that excuse before. But there IS a market for it! Not every DVD that comes out has to sell like "Seinfeld". Not every DVD that comes out has to be available at Target & WalMart & Meijer Thrifty Acres & Cherney's* You can sell that shit on a MUCH smaller scale!
*Cherney's (not sure if I'm spelling that right) was a little store where I used to buy candy and Slush Puppies and Faygo and little plastic Smurf figurines (which predated the animated series, but that's no excuse for a little hetero boy to collect them). One day, they had a big fire. A few years later, a little overpriced department store called Mulias & Elias burned to the ground. In retrospect, I wonder if there might have been some insurance fraud going on in either case. Just not something that occurred to me when it happened. None of this is of any interest to anyone. What the fuck are you gonna do, kick me out? I'd like to see you try. Come on. I dare ya! Wait. Did that just sound like "derrière"? Why do I keep saying stuff like that? I've gotta weigh those slips and that smurf stuff against the fact that I dig chicks and Freud was clinically fucked in the head. My lack of interest in football against my lack of interest in seeing men rolling around on the ground together in any capacity. My tendency to ramble on needlessly against my tendency not to have homosexual tendencies. I hate my job. What does that have to do with anything in this paragraph, let alone this thread (which I probably should have)? Nothing and everything. They pissed me off today, and I'm taking it out on you. And it's pretty harmless, since y'all probably stopped at about "Faygo". I'm just venting my frustrations. Which would make me feel better if it made me feel better.
And now, ladies and gentlemen, The Dancing "Thread Dead"'s!

I love you, Steve. Don't ever go away.
Remember when Amy Poehler used to play Andy Richter's younger sister who had a huge crush on Conan? Fun stuff.

Hey- if you really want to see those DVD's, you need to contact the dipshits at Comedy Central. If there's a demand they will respond, however sluggishly. Now that Amy is on SNL, they see her as a "commodity" which is probably why they deigned to release the first season. But if you pester via emails, on their boards, or by letters, it would certainly help. And of course, buy the DVD's for you or friends.
check out www.mattbesser.com, BTW.

Thanks. Do you have any affiliation with CC or UCB? (are you Matt Besser?)

From the Fa(h)-Q (http://www.comedycentral.com/help/faq.jhtml#copyofshow) @ Comedy Central's website:
How can I obtain a copy of a show I saw on Comedy Central?
Unless a program is available in the Comedy Central online store (http://shop.comedycentral.com/), we do not accept requests from viewers to sell or distribute copies of any other programs.
What the fuck? Who the hell are we supposed to shit-hammer about this if not Comedy Central??? Fuck 'em! I'm doing it anyway. Who's with me? I'll post the contents of my email to them when I finish it. And I'll post their reply as soon as I get one, which probably means never.
Hey, at least "The Hebrew Hammer" is out on DVD! I'm sure that's gonna be a huge seller. Big, big market for that. I'm sure that, if I don't see it at Target, it's because they can't keep the fucking thing in stock, NOT because they don't bother stocking it at all.
Upright Citizens Brigade -- Sorry, I just wanted to write those words out fully since the FUCKING search function at these forums doesn't let you search for something that's less than four letters long (like "UCB", for example)!!!

Okay, here's what I'm planning to send to Comedy Central. I say "planning" because it's one of those bullshit things where you have to send them messages THROUGH their SITE instead of through your normal email program, so it may be limited as far as number of characters or something. I just wanted to show you what I first intended to send. If it doesn't go through, I'll let you know. If it does, then I'll shut up for now.

I just read in the FAQ on your website that, "Unless a program is available in the Comedy Central online store, we do not accept requests from viewers to sell or distribute copies of any other programs." Fair enough. My question is, who DO we contact to request the sale or distribution of any other shows from YOUR NETWORK? Let's say, just as a completely RANDOM example, that one was looking to get Seasons 2 & 3 of Upright Citizens Brigade released on DVD: Who might one contact regarding that sort of thing? Thank you.

When UCB was getting cancelled I was a part of a nice, "Fuck with Comedy Central so they'll change their minds" letter writing campaign thingy. Someone had started a petition online, and after it had a ton of signatures, I printed it out, like 200 pages worth, and faxed it to their offices. And I think a bunch of other people did the same thing, and then others were calling and all that good stuff. I guess it was a complete waste of time now that I think about it.

"Comedy" Central has a strange knack for getting people really into a show, then, somehow, very quickly, making it so no one gives a shit if they ever see it again. The most recent example, I think, is "Reno 911".

Dear Steven,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us. We're glad you're also a fan of
UCB.

individual story idea or viewer request for information, autographs, copies
or transcripts. We apologize if this inconveniences you in any way.
Thanks for watching Comedy Central!
Sincerely,
