David CD's...Questions...

On "It's Not Funny", in the linear notes, DC says to check out a band called "Fiery Furnace"... is this a joke or is there a real band called this.. and if so can someone help me locate them on the web... so far I've just gotten a bunch of bible nonsense.

On disc one of "Shut Up..." there are computer "enhancements" or whatever..... I've never watched it... hell I never even noticed it... maybe this was covered 2 years ago, but what is the bonus shit?

the fiery furnaces are in fact a real band. i don't have any of their albums, but i've pirated alot of their stuff. just go to artistdirect.com and search for them there.

I go to at least 7 shows a month and the Fiery Furnaces are the best band I've seen in at least 3 years. Go see them if you get the chance.

No I wish I got to go to shows that often. As long as you're not a cred police indie dick you're cool in my book. I find that the best way to avoid being "too indie" is to pretend to like one horrible mainstream band like Coldplay or Aerosmith.

Right but you know they suck and they're just your secret little guilty pleasure. At least that's what you tell people. It makes you seem less intimidating to people who are only moderately indie while still allowing you to hang with the indier-than-thou crew.

There was a thing on the CD where they showed Crossy apparently pretending to be Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse, Ugly Casanova) for some kind of radio phone interview or something while (I think) Brock was in the background laughing. I don't remember this being on the DVD. Of course, I haven't checked out either the CD or the DVD in a while, so I could well be way wrong on any number of these points. But basically my question is, what the fuck?
