Good Ol' Eban

I sent an e-mail to the folks at Netherota Records a week or two ago to see if there were any Run Ronnie Run soundtrack CD's left and whether I could get one or not. A day later I get a really nice e-mail saying that there were copies left and that they'd be happy to send me one. Yesterday I got a package in the mail containing the Run Ronnie Run / Dumb and Dumberer soundtracks as well as his Hollywood Free For All CD. In addition he enclosed a really kind letter of thanks. I was really impressed with his kindness and how fast he actually sent me the CDs (for FREE). Also, he is actually a great songwriter. Obviously I am familiar with RRR, but his stuff for Dumb and Dumberer is on par with stuff by Danny Elfman and Mark Mothersbaugh.

Anyhow, I lost the e-mail so I cannot send him a thank you. Eban, if you read this, THANKS A MILLION.

(also, I highly encourage those of you who don't have a RRR cd to drop Eban a line)

In 1989 Eban became the drummer for San Francisco rockers Stone Fox, with whom he performed in drag under the name of "Debbie" (to preserve the "all girl" nature of the band) until 1991 when he went to law school at the University Of San Francisco.
