DC played Happy Time Harry on Aqua Teen Hunger Force, but he was credited under a fake name. On the ATHF DVD, when asked who played that voice, the creators said they weren't allowed to talk about that. So, I'm wondering if anyone knows why the hush hush. (Patton Oswalt also did some voices on ATHF under a fake name, and I know it's fairly common for some shows to do this,I'm just curious as to why)

That's funny - I just saw an episode and could swear one of the voices was Bob. He was playing a green, sweatband-wearing alien with lots of points. But when I watched the credits, his name wasn't there. Hmmmmmm...

aquateen (and i believe all other adult swim shows... except maybe ones that were produced before adult swim, like oblongs, home movies, baby blues, etc) is a non-sag show, so actors have to use fake names so the show doesn't have to pay them sag wages and all the other sag-related nonsense that comes with it.
the old super adventure team show on mtv was the same way, and dana gould (who wrote and directed), paul f. tompkins, and karen kilgariff (and the other voice actors) all worked under assumed names.
there's been some discussion about whether or not odenkirk (and fred armisen) provided voices during the bean musical deal from hypno-germ. tim and eric did the show, but were credited with their real names since they're (probably) not sag, but there was a "vance hammersly" as a guest which was probably bob and someone else swears they heard armisen's voice.

Dude, fucking REGISTER! Is the name Info Jimmy taken?
edit: It's not taken. Snag it, baby!

Well Info Jimmy is right... It's all guild bullshit (at least that's what I've also been led to believe.) Also in an interview i read somewhere they mentioned that when they called his agent he was all "give us a ton of money" so they went around the agent and the guild and got his cell phone number from a friend and convinced him to do it IN SECRET!
But I don't think Bob did any voices.. the 'green, sweatband wearing alien' is Orglethorpe and he's voiced by Andy Merrill who does the voices on a lot of Adult Swim shows.

In light of all this new information, I think a better question to ask would be "Why is the entertainment industry full of such horrible bloodsucking pieces of shit?"

On the episode of ATHF where Frylock and Shake get a job at the meat beverage place in the mall, I could *swear* that the voice of the babysitting robot that Frylock builds for Meatwad is Sarah Silverman. Of course her name wasn't in the credits. I'm not sure if there was a fake name used or not....It all happened so fast...hold me!

I'm 99.999% sure that Bob was the voice of the Bean Wizard on ATHF. TV Tome lists him as such, and says he used the fake name "Vance Hammersley" - can't be a coincidence.

Oh yeah you're right he was the bean wizard. he was also in a Space Ghost episode and did a voice on Futurama.

Yeah, Bob an Dave did Space Ghost together, it was pretty funny. And he played the mayor's aide or something on Futurama in "The Why of Fry".
I think that WAS Sarah Silverman as the robo sitter. The credits slisted "Big S". And patton Oswalt played the frat aliens, right?

Stupid! They said after all the DVDs come out to count the high fives and then send it to HBO Video and you'll get a prize. Did he do that then go in a time machine and be there for the commentary? You're thinking of the biggest fan, geek.

Definitely Sarah.
And IMO the Happy Time Harry episode is one of Aqua Teen's very best, not a coincidence.....
