Magazines and Candy Bars...

Remeber the extra's on MR.Show season 3, when BnD do the Aspen show and David pretends to be the comedian who tells a story using magazine titles?

Remember that? And then the hecklers cut him off...

Anyways, I saw this comic, pretty famous dude, do a REAL bit where he had a bag full of candy bars (chocolate bars) and he would pull them out and make up a story from them.

So I was walking down the street and I saw THREE MUSKETEERS and I said hey where do you think you are going with that 100 GRAND and they said hey MR BIG and I was like...

ANYWAYS, this was a pretty famous dude.. I think I recognized him from Second City...

It literally seemed like this guy woke up that morning, realized he had a gig and said "fuck it I'll just pull candy bars out of a plastic bag and they'll love it"

And you know what... people did love it.

I thought a funny spoof on that would be to have a magician come out with a dummy and do the exact same "candy bar" routine or have like two guys come out and do the same bit in a real competitive way, but one guy keeps pulling out the same bar over and over ...

i've been thinking about a bit where two comedians do the same bit back to back and heckle each other and use the same come backs on each other for a while.
i want to do a peice like that where i use cereals, but just use them as visual aids for the bit.
"so i said to john, 'what are you eating?' 'CINNIMON TOAST CRUNCH' he said, 'what about you?'. 'APPLE JACKS', but i'm only having them because they were out of FROSTED FLAKES' "

I saw that candy bar thing, too. I can't remember who did it now though. It was incredibly lame. I almost want to say Steven Wright but I don't think it was him.
