Comedy Central has signed gay Irish comedian/late night host Graham Norton to a two-year deal. That means at least 13 episodes of a US version of his Channel 4 talk/variety show. Norton will also have guest hosting duties on other Comedy Central projects. Reruns of "So Graham Norton" on the US version of the BBC has helped gain Norton a following.
"Comedy Central seemed a safer place to start in America," said Norton, who is on a stand-up comedy tour of the States. "I won't look as freakish there as I would have on one of the bigger networks."
