The dynasty of failure is alive for another four years. Democrats have been beaten back into the shadows by a hailstorm of ignorance and jingoism.

All seems lost, but let's see if we can extract some tiny bit of optimism and levity from the rotten harvest we have reaped in the fields of democracy this week.

I'll start: We can finally admite that John Kerry, although not an insane fundamentalist with aspirations of dictatorship, wouldn't have made that good of a president.

Also, until John Ashcroft can figure out how to shut down that tricky First Amendment thingy once and for all, we get four more years of David Cross's delicious bitterness and vitriol.

Okay now you go.

Silver lining #2- I don't have to live in America (small comfort as there is now little difference, we have most of our policies dictated to us by Bush. We just don't get a chance to vote him out)

Silver Lining #3 - George W. Bush will never be elected President again.

Now we can say that and be sure. Unless he changes the laws on that...but that's getting too negative. Scartch that.

Silver Lining #4 - Dennis Miller is one day closer to dying, than he was yesterday. (so is Bush, and Cheney and Bush Sr...wait a sec...)

Silver Lining #5 - Christmas in Bagdhad will probably be really a big hit this year. Or atleast really funny.

Silver Lining #6 - "Operation: Rest of the Brown One's" can finally get under way.

Silver Lining #7 - Gays and Lesbians won't have anything to complain about now that "Complaints by Gays & Lesbians Are Punishable by Death" (source: georgewbush.com)

Silver Lining #8 - Sales of my shirts with a picture of Bush and the slogan "I'd Rather HE was in Texas" will continue for 4 more years!
