What kind of music do most people like on here? I'll write some CD reviews but i mainly listen to Indie/Alt/Garage rock. So , i won't waste my time writing reviews if no one likes those kinds of music. Holla back.

Cake, Luscious Jackson, Perfect Circle (and Tool apparently). Some others too, but I've realized that it's fun to type what you like, but boring as hell to read what other people are into...odd.
I don't know if anyone cares or not but A Perfect Circle is going on tour and if you like them in the least I recommend you go.

The Postal Service, The Unicorns, The Shins, The Silver Jews, The Mountain Goats, Stephen Malkmus, The New Pornographers, Bright Eyes, Daniel Johnston, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Rogue Wave, Death Cab for Cutie, The Decemberists, The Fiery Furnaces, Lyle Lovett, Neutral Milk Hotel, Pavement, Radiohead, Rilo Kiley, The Walkmen, Willie Nelson, and, most importantly, Switchfoot. By the way, I'm shitting you about Switchfoot. They suck.

It's so sad, I guess, or pathetic, but I stopped paying too much attention in music when I became really enthralled in comedy.
I adore anything that has to do with Dave Grohl.
Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age, ...even Probot.
Tool.
The band that gets most of my attention these days is A Perfect Circle...
After that it gets really random... I'm fucking into Classic Rock big time.
Boston is coming to town and no one will go with me.
Ack. Good-bye.

Yeah I just saw APC a couple months ago and I've seen Tool thrice.
Dredg, Pinback, thingy, pretty much anything having to do with Rob Crow, Far, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and A WHOLE TON OF OTHER SHIT! JUST ASK ME! :)

I like any song that denies the Holocaust ever existed. Except for that album Boston put out called "The Holocaust never happened".
That album was too self-grandizing.
I also like any Christmas album that Barbara Streisand puts out. She is a true jewish princess.

I have three Ted Leo albums. I just forgot to include him the other night. This summer I saw the Shins in Houston -- because their Austin performance was rained out, and which, by the way, has now been rescheduled for when I'll be out of town -- and the Unicorns in Austin.

ive opend for ted leo before
and as far as much, i listen to anything that will make me seem like a music snob to people who arent into indie music persay, and i listen to enough mainstream stuff to make indie music fans think im a loser, its a nice balance
lately ive been listening to some of the following:
boards of canada, daft punk, don cabellero, pink floyd, trans am, sigur ros, horse the band, linkin park, deftones, hum, the beach boys, rush, kraft werk, dillinger escape plan

Mike Patton is great. He rose to fame when he joined Faith No More in 87 or 88 and released the album "The Real Thing." At the time he was working with one of the weirdest bands of all time, Mr. Bungle. Since then he has been in a ton of bands and worked with a ton of artists. I saw him in a band called Tomahawk a while back here in NYC and my mind was blown. He is a fantastic front-man.

did you date him because he was a starving rock star and that's cool, or was it because you were young and naive? or both?
I once got to judge a high school band competition at Tulip Festival. One of the many perks of working at a record store.
I never tasted such power.
The other judge was some Tuba player from Austria... sadly no one ever touched his asshole

"young" and "naive" described me once, yes. but now i am "bitter" and "pissed off" and "want my guitar back" and "want the rest of the money you owe me after i paid for your MIP on the spring break trip you didn't want me to go on in the first place"

It's a BAD sign when you have to resort to slapping contrariness into your song to try and seem clever.
Too heavy, too light, too black or too white
Too wrong or too right, today or tonight
Cumbersome
Too rich or too poor, she's wanting me less
And I'm wanting her more
The bitter taste is cumbersome
You can look at the menu but you just can’t eat
You can feel the cushions but you can’t have a seat
You can dip your foot in the pool but you can’t have a swim
You can feel the punishment but you can’t commit the sin
It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought...it figures
OR
I'm free but I'm focused
I'm green but I'm wise
I'm hard but I'm friendly baby
I'm sad but I'm laughing
I'm brave but I'm chickenshit
I'm sick but I'm pretty baby
I’m feeling that I’m sober
Even though I’m drinking
I can’t get any lower
Still I feel I’m sinking
You say "Yes", I say "No".
You say "Stop" and I say "Go, go, go".
Yuck.
On the next episode of "Shitty, Shitty Lyrics", we'll discuss songwriters who try to cover up the fact that they don't have anything to say by telling you what kind of music it is you're listening to WITHIN THE FUCKING SONG!! Our special guest speaker will be Mr. George Clinton. Should be a treat. Join me then, won't you?

I don't like to keep score. I just play for fun.
Back when those two Alanis songs I referenced were UN-A-FUCKING-VOIDABLE, my brother & I were riffing on some new lyrics for her. The only one I can remember now is, "I've got shoes on but I'm barefoot". Le'me see if I can come up with a few more on the spot here:
I'm dead but I'm living
I'm gay but I'm straight
I'm hung but I've got no pee-pee
My stinky smells pretty
I like Twix, 'cept I don't
I'm dry but I'm also greasy
It's fun. Try it. Or don't. It's entirely up to you.

I had this other Alanis idea, but I never got a chance to use it and now it's too late. Remember that video she had where she was naked and they blurred out that thing women have where my penis is? I thought it'd be funny to do a video like that and to give myself a ridiculously large cock, since it's blurred out anyway. And I could do shit like swing it around like a zoot suit dude would do with his pocket watch, then throw it over my shoulder, maybe trip over it at some point. You get the idea. And I've got a body like Eddie Deezen (http://www.eddiedeezen.com/), so me naked if funny enough in itself.

Nostalgia... ah...
We know of an ancient radiation
That haunts dismembered constellations
A faintly glimmering radio station
While Frank Sinatra sings "Stormy Weather"
The flies and spiders get along together
Cobwebs fall on an old skipping record
LOVE it!!!
