is it wrong that i would really like to kill and mame gallagher and carrot top for doing stupid physical comedy bits. its just not funny and it really more annoying than anything.

what happened to the great stand up like pryor dangerfeild and carlson, nowadays stand ups arent stand ups anymore they use stand up as a means to get a sketch comedy show or sitcom instead of doing stand up to do stand up. if your act can be turned into a show great but i wanna see a stand up comic doin stand up comedy not using it to get him other stuff.

It's true, Stand up shouldn't be the end all, be all... it should be a step. I think anyone will tell you that.

But if you can make tons (USA!) of cash doing stupid hour long college shows for 6 months a year... then you've beaten the system.
